Oh, Brazil! Would you were a real country, and not just a national soccer team with emotional fans and a big river, called the Amazon.
I care not about Brazil, for my attention has turned to Le Tour. The one in France. El Copa Mundial on bikes. As of Stage 5, an Italian wears Le Mailloux Jaune. The Germans are strong. The Dutch are strong. The Americans are still GC contenders. The Colombians are always good climbers. Brazilians are nowhere to be found. People don't bike in the jungle.
Aside from soccer and biking, what else is going on in the world? Well, it's summer, and things are hot in the Ukraine, Iraq, Syria, and Israel. Who, sports fans, cheered, waved his hands, and jumped up and down for peace in each of these countries, and then did nothing? That would be Barack Obama, President of the United States, Commander in Chief, and winner of the Nobel Peace Prize. Sounds rather ridiculous, doesn't it? Because it is.
